From hospitality to recruitment

I did not learn hospitality from behind a desk. I learned it by working inside the industry — serving guests, solving daily operational challenges, supporting teams and gradually taking on greater responsibility.


Over more than 15 years, I worked in different hospitality environments across Europe and New Zealand. These experiences taught me that a successful placement depends on much more than a job title or a CV. The right person must also fit the team, the work environment, and the business's expectations.


That practical understanding became the foundation of NorthPeak Staffing — a recruitment agency shaped by experience from both sides of hospitality, from frontline operations to management.

Working abroad gave me more than a career. It allowed me to grow, travel and build a life across different countries. It also showed me how much the right employer, honest information and realistic expectations matter when someone moves abroad for work.
